My first ever blog post!

Well here it goes - my first every blog post! I have been reading other peoples blogs for a while now but have never considered doing one myself until today. This will be a new thing to try for 2014 and I am very excited to embark on this new adventure! I don't think it will be easy as I am not in the slightest bit technical minded (and have already struggled to figure out how to type this in the box!) but I am going to persevere and see what happens.

 I have recently moved in with my boyfriend after 2 years and now live in the middle of the North Essex countryside hence the middle of nowhere. Not exactly my first choice of locations as I like to have shops, pubs, railway station, etc within walking distance but am hoping that I will get used to the countryside and I’m sure the move will be worth it!

 The aim of this blog is to share my projects once they are completed and to discuss WIP and future project ideas. I have a long list of things that I want to do and I am already getting worried that they won't all get done in 2014! I love to knit and crochet and have started sewing and quilting (in all my free time!) plus I am training for the Brighton Marathon in April 2014 so its going to be a busy crafting (and running) year ahead.

 I have decided that this year as well as making gifts for friends and family, I will also make more items for various charities as this is a small thing that I can do that doesn’t cost too much nor takes up too much additional time. Although I do find knitting to deadlines very stressful; hopefully knowing that they are being put to good use will help me to get projects finished.
